Our Breeding Philosophy
Our litters are carefully planned, often far in advance to produce healthy dogs, with stable temperaments, whose characteristics adhere to the breed standard. If you are interested in performance or conformation prospect or seeking a loving pet, we strive to breed dogs that will live long and healthy lives as your family companions.

When buying a Janterra puppy expect to be interviewed, have a home visit, get references checked all as part of our process of getting to know you better. We have changed our process slightly due to the current situation regarding COVID, but you can expect our vetting to be just a thorough. We ask all potential owners to be realistic and honest throughout as this helps us to better understand your needs and match a puppy that is suited for your home and lifestyle.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
  • We do not keep a waiting list, if you are seriously interested in waiting for a puppy from us, please keep an eye out for a litter announcement on our website or Facebook page. Once you see an announcement made, reach out and let us know your interest, and complete a puppy application - do this ONLY if you are serious, please. Completion of a puppy application is not a guarantee of a puppy. 
  • You are welcome to email us with questions prior to applying for puppies, BUT please read our Information > FAQs page first. Also, we will not answer any email inquiry that does not provide a thoughtful introduction about yourself, what you are looking for in a companion and why you are choosing this breed.
  • ​We do not review or vet applications until we have a pregnancy confirmed. We will not approve a puppy for you without the completion of a puppy application, interview and home visit - this is not completed until the puppies are born and with us for at least 2-3 weeks.
  • Unfortunately, because of the COVID crisis and for the purpose of our own privacy and security, we will NOT allow random visits to our home. Puppies are raised in our home, not a kennel or 'facility'.   • Moving forward, meetings and interviews will be done through Zoom, Facebook Video Chat, or Facetime. We still reserve the right to have us or a trusted friend visit your home for interviews and home checks.
  • We DO NOT accept deposits for puppies until homes are vetted and our approval process is complete and we can confirm a suitable match. Once a deposit is accepted, it is non-refundable.

We are very excited to present this breeding! This will be puppies from  thoroughly health tested parents with beautiful, producing pedigrees. This will be a litter to watch! ALL puppies from this breeding will be cropped and docked.
